Roy's Trialist - Final Part

Melchester Rovers were leading Stambridge City, two-nil in the Fourth Round of the F.A. Cup. During the week Roy Race had tried to sign Dave Henning, the star midfielder, from Oldfield. But the deal had fallen through after the Oldfield board increased their asking-price to £1million. Roy had hoped to play Henning against Stambridge, but was forced into picking young Terry Keelan. Keelan was playing superbly and had set-up both Rovers goals. He was determined to prove to Roy that he was worthy of a place in the Melchester first-team.
