A New Beginning - Week 13

Former Melchester Rovers and England star, Rocky Race, the son of "The King" Roy Race is back in England. Will the restyled family man get up to his old tricks? The Rovers are away at Eastgate in London, sitting in eighth place just two places off the fifth place Vernon Eliot had promised. Can Rovers continue to climb up the table?

  2. storky u know would be great? some more info about the weekly opponets' history in the last ten years at least, like u did with Danefield Utd (CL won in 2005), Burndean (FA Cup 2013) or Kelburn (2009 title). Im looking forward to read about MR vs Everpool game! And what about to finish the 2000-2001 season? MR supposed to clinch a place for the CL....

    1. On my fixtures list, Melchester play Everpool in round 13, so three games from now; Castlemere today, then Gatesfield, then Everpool.

The history appears as it is relevant to the story. Melboro' and Kelburn, have been the major forces, Rovers haven't played them yet. It's just coincidence so far that most of the opponents so far haven't won much between them.

I don't want to steal over ten years from Roy of the Rovers, it's not my place to do so. So lots will have to remain hidden. I was unsure of starting this 2013/14 season, I wasn't sure I had the right to restart ROTR. But the viewing figures so far show people don't mind. I just try to be sympathetic to the ideals of ROTR.

  3. ur keeping it so close to the ideals of ROTR thats for really sure! and i really like it this way, its a realistic continuation. Maybe ur right about the 2001 season... But i like that u gave some little info about Kelburn, Burndean, Danefield, i wish i can see it more often regarding to Rovers' opponents
also the return of Mostin and Rocky was very substantial, its still the Roy of the Rovers stories, link to history is important

    1. I will be doing a Rothman's type yearbook at the end of the season, which will have lots of stats, results and line-ups for every Premier League match, player stats, records, team photo.

And I'm working on a sticker book, with 22 players for each side. Silvery badge stickers and team photo.
