Roy Race Manager - Premier Manager

Ever wondered if you could manage the Rovers or even beat Roy Race's side to the title? Well here's your chance, take yourself and comic football knowledge back to the start of the 1979/80 season, pick a club, sign up some superstars and bring home the cup!

Read before playing (REGEN version):

I've set the keys to the keyboard arrows, A, S, D
There are two game modes, Demo - which allows you to choose any team in any division and Full - which only allows you to choose a Division 4 team. You will find Demo mode very hard.
To save your game go to FILE and SAVE STATE AS...
To load a saved game, load the game and the go to FILE and LOAD STATE AS...
I highly recommend turning animations off. Turn up game speed by pressing right during the match.

Gameplay tips:

Main Menu:

Top row (left to right) - Transfer market (buy and sell players), Stadium (improve your ground), Finances (review ins and outs), Squad Management (set tactics, preview opps)

Middle row - Cup fixtures, Sponsors, Telephone (training, scouting, staff), WLD (league tables)

Bottom row - Save game, settings, Fax (messages), Whistle (go to next week)

Important hints:

Tactics: you will need to experiment with formations and tactics until you find one that works. Pay careful attention to the skills of your players, for example if you have a very strong passers, try high passing. Tweak everything until you find the right balance. You will lose a lot early in the season, but the game does get easier (eventually).

Buying players - you can only buy players from the Transfer List or using your scout, which is much more expensive. Be patient and use the scout cleverly.

The telephone: you need to hire coaches and set training or your players will not improve or even decline in ability. If you get an injury choose the appropriate treatment. Scout players and make bids. Pick a skill for the youth coach to scout and in a few weeks he will suggest a player.

Sponsors: everytime it flashes red, put up some more boards. If you manage this carefully you will make significantly more money, which is vital in the Fourth Division.

Cheating: there are many ways to cheat, I will share these in the comments section on request if anybody is really struggling.

Notes on the database and game limitations:

If you have a huge knowledge of comic book football you will find many favourites across the divisions.
There are over 1,300 ROTR universe players with accurate abilities, some clubs have random players to bulk up the squads to the minimum amount of 14.
Most clubs have a universe manager, some have randoms.
Some player stats are set within a range at the start of a new game, age especially.
The First Division has 20 teams rather than 22.
Three subs can be named rather than the one 1979.
The in game save function doesn't work, I don't know why.

NOTE: I haven't tested the game through to the end of a season yet. There is no reason why it shouldn't work perfectly as I have only done basic editing. Comment below if there are any errors.
