storky what happened to the season stats? are you gonna take them up to the 2000-2001 season?

Deleteloved this story mate. Fantastic work.
ReplyDeleteAlways felt the old weekly comic lacked storylines like this as if it wasnt Rovers winning the league or cup then they didnt show what happened.
It was a fun one to write. I could never let them win the league, but I tried to convince the reader it was possible.
DeleteI chose Burndean as champions because I thought Newton Oates deserved a medal. It was a shame he only appeared in two official matches, especially after the star performances in both. I wonder if the writers ever considered transferring him to Rovers?
yeah it was a strange one as we knew they didnt win the league but up to the last episode you do wonder.
ReplyDeleteagree about Oates, his story reminds me of Gary Gunn and Matt Croker who both went on to sign for Rovers. Shame they didnt include him more over a couple of seasons
