Fans of Melchester Rovers and Roy Race were given just a few glimpses of the great man in an England shirt. This 15 part story tells the tale of Roy's recall to the England team in the Summer of 1983. Roy had fallen out of favour under Ron Meevy, but new England manager Nigel Gough was determined to find a place for Roy.
However, Roy's return had not gone down well with all the players or fans. Some still questioned his commitment after years criticising the whole England set up. But, Roy was back and in the team for the end of season friendly vs Portugal. Would this be the start of Roy's Comeback?
