Methodology - Where stories produce duplicate winners, the ROTR Universe stories take prededence. When statements like "won the league twice in the 50s" are made, I fill gaps where there are no winners. Some of the early years are based on geography. There are lots of other pieces of evidence I use to help, but the majority are written clearly somewhere in a story (not always ROTR universe though!).
