Rocky Race's Baltimore Bullets begin the defence of their MLS Championship against Houston FC. While Roy Race's struggling Melchester Rovers prepare for the FA Cup Semi-Final with a match against long-ball kings Oldfield...
I either design them myself, edit a crest or just use a coat of arms or logo. E.g. for Tynecaster search Google images for Newcastle Coat of Arms. I'll post up a file with all the images on the forum.
I'm editing every single player in the PES4 database. I'm halfway there so far, it takes so long. To make a player, I re-name him using a word associated name, a bit like the fake players in the old PES games. For example, Burndean are Leeds because they wear all white, Noel Hunt became Chase and as he's Irish he needs an Irish firstname beginning with N so is Niall Chase. Danefield are Liverpool, Rickie LAMBert becomes Robbie EWErs. I try to keep the names real.
I do change the player's character and ability to suit the storyline. And all the players mentioned as former Rovers are made up (like Tynecaster's De Mol and Kingsbay's Ollie Morrison).
It all evolves with the story though so things change as I write.
Sorry for all the questions, I'm just really interested in what you're doing lol. Is there a list of lower league teams aswell as Premier League teams?
No need to apologise, I love any feedback it helps me to write.
I have a Championship and ten other famous lower league teams. They are all mentioned in the ROTR stories. If you check out the season reviews all the teams are mentioned somewhere along the line. Most of my Championship sides are from the 1981/82 season, plus favourites like Tynefield City who were always are 2nd Division side bar a season or two in the top flight.
Again I can post my list up in the RTG part of the forum tomorrow.
My database for all the ROTR teams is most complete in the Championship Manager game. I think there's still an active download for that. I'll repload that tomorrow anyway.
I'm wanting to make a ROTR database on Football manager. Can you help me out with squads/teams in regards of who ROTR teams are based on. So far I know Kelburn are Chelsea and Tynecaster are Newcastle. Thanks
And how do you edit the kits? I've noticed the kits you use aren't made on the game, because they seem to be templates from manufactures like nike/adidas/puma. Sorry for the amount of questions
I don't bother with Kitserver, making all those text files takes far too long.
I use Graphic Studio. The process is quite complicated, as you have to make sure that your image is 8-bit or it will warp when you import it. To do that, I open the image in IrfanView and reduce the amount of colors to 8-bit and save as a new Bitmap.
Search for the kit in the 0_text.afs in Graphic Studio, locate the correct uniXXX file, e.g. Manchester United are uni076....
Open the Bitmap, go to Texture > Change color depth > Increase to 32-bit. Then go back and go to Decrease to 8-bit. This orders the colors neatly, which you may need later.
Then select "All" next to the A/B box and click on the smaller black box above that, which is labelled "Set colors opaque".
Then drag the image over the kit on the far left of the panel below.
As I said it is quite complicated! But this is the only way to get it right!
There are a few more things you need to check, like collar type and transparency, but you will see if you need to fix when the kit is loaded in the game. Most of the time you don't need to bother.
If you want any of my files I'm happy to share. Email me storky_knight@yahoo.co.uk

Loving your series . Is there anywhere where I can find the crests for the teams you use e.g. Tynecaster? Thanks

DeleteYeah that would be great, thanks a lot :)
DeleteAnother question, how and where do you get all the players stats from to import to PES 4? Do you just make them up?
ReplyDeleteThe players are based on real life ones, so I either make them suitable for that player or if I don't know anything about them use PES Stats Database
DeleteSo how many players approx. have you made/changed from real life ones? Must be a lot

How do you manage to import 60+ badge/crests onto PES 4, when there is a limit to how many crests you can put on?
ReplyDeleteI edit the default files for kits and badges everything can be replaced. Th 0_text.afs file includes most of the graphics files.
DeleteDoes that allow you to add in as many crests as you want?
DeleteSort of, it means any crest in the game can be replaced with an image I make
DeleteAnd how do you edit the kits? I've noticed the kits you use aren't made on the game, because they seem to be templates from manufactures like nike/adidas/puma. Sorry for the amount of questions
DeleteI make all the kits myself in Photoshop. I make them rather than download templates so that they look more comic like.
DeleteHow do you import them etc? Do you use kitserver for it? i'm trying to make my own but having trouble importing the kits into the game
